 745cm x 58cm cotton battle flag with a beautifully embroidered yellow star in the centre.
Text to top "Armed forces for the liberation of South Vietnam."
Bottom "Liberate Hue 1966."

Hue being the city in Central Vietnam that was fought over throughout the Vietnam war changing occupiers several times. Also the site of US/ARVN bases with a large US air base being South of the city at Phu Bai.

Small Viet Cong Vn war era battle flag. They would have been mounted on a long wooden pole for identification during battle or mounted on the aerial of captured vehicles.

Cut out and onset yellow star to centre.

Good overall condition, but a little dirty, could probably be washed if required. Difficult item to find.
