Battle flag would have been mounted on the aerial of an APC or tank, probably captured off the South Vietnam army.

A 74cm x 53cm cotton battle flag with embroidered yellow star and wreath to centre.

Top text "Armed forces for the liberation of South Vietnam." 

Bottom text "Liberate Khe Sanh 1968."

Khe Sanh being the US hilltop forward combat base in Central Vietnam close to the DMZ which saw much fighting and was eventually taken over by North Vietnam forces.

Small Viet Cong Vn war era battle flag. They would have been mounted on a long wooden pole for identification during battle or mounted on the aerial of captured vehicles.

Cut out and onset yellow star to centre.

Good overall condition, but a little dirty, could probably be washed if required. Difficult item to find.
